Happy birthday, Drivist US blog! Two years and three days ago we launched this project, which has been far from successful. We’ve published 17 posts in those two years, which comes out to about 9 posts a year. That is less than once every month! Fortunately, it doesn’t cost a whole lot to run this blog AND it is extremely fun writing these.
Speaking of which, I really want to expand the scope of Drivist. Most of the posts have featured drivers here in Los Angeles, and while LA has some of the worst drivers you’ll find, we want to highlight the habits of drivers all across the world. For that reason, we’re asking you to submit your pictures with descriptions of the drivers (similar to the short format of these posts) via email to hungryandfit@gmail.com.
In honor of this grand occasion, we’ll highlight this amazingly reckless driver from Arkansas, who thought that driving down Santa Monica Blvd through WeHo at 80 mph was a good idea. He also seemed to think that challenging a ton of luxury sport cars to street races was a good idea as well. Fortunately for everyone, they weren’t stupid enough to take his bait. He probably fishes a lot, and throws the hook into the water, without any bait attached.
